Sure, the mods COULD move this to the "reloading" section.... but
Any handloaders with favorites for the FAL? I loaded some 7.62 mil brass with CCI 34 primers, 44g Varget and 150 Hornady FMJs to see how it does. What grain weight bullets shoot well from your FAL? Anyone shooting 165s? I'm thinking of stirring up a load for 165 SST as I have plenty of the things from my '06 |

I like 42 grains of IMR 4895 and 150 gr bullet or 147gr bullet.
When I use Varget I usually use 43 grains behind a 150 gr bullet. For the 168 gr bullets I use 42 grains of Varget or IMR 4895, I am pretty sure that the 42 grs for 168 gr bullet is a well known and proven accurate combination. |
