I just purchased a used FNAR from a member here.  The member stated that the gun has been shot about 200 rounds.  The pictures of the guns looked alright and the price was right so i pulled the trigger. I received the rifle today and the first thing i noticed is that the chrome lining at the muzzle has basically chipped off and area where no chrome exists has a layer of slight rust on it. It is about BB size in one or two places.  Has anyone heard of this? I dont even wanna bother calling the seller because i am not sure what there is to do now after the gun has been transferred to my name. But is this something i can take up with FN? All inputs appreciated.

As long as the barrel was not modified in any way I'm sure FN will take care of you.

I'm interested to know if this is a common problem w/ the FNAR.  I'm considering purchasing one.

I have an FN AR that has seen a good amount of use (1060 rounds total) and it has no problems at all to include no problems with the barrel or accuracy.
