A dept. around the county that FNH is located in has just purchased 5 SCAR Ls. FOR $200 a piece! It's very likely that in the near future I may be able to shot one @ a range. $200 each is the cost to produce, think about that when you buy one for $2000. Little mark up? Cooooollll....... Cwackers |

FNH wants to see how they "work" for the end user. This dept also got the first p90s and five sevens. I think I may have been one of the first civies to handle one. I also handled a SCAR H @ the local range. I'm not giving up my AR10s but that was a cool rifle. Cwacks |
Hmm, guess the department was vetted by them and the department must have agreed to some kind of close monitoring program with them. Sounds like they've had a working relationship with them in the past so I might be able to buy that. They'll want a controlled environment to monitor the rifles in the hands of LEO's to improve service and for any possible tweaks that might have to be done for the LEO end customer. Want to know exact round counts, cleaning and maintenance procedures, and what not. Probably end up with the Department having to spend a fair amount of time collection, organizing, and relaying information to them. |
No, in delivery orders within the last 12 months off of contract W52H09-07-D-0425, plain jane M4 and M4A1 (no BUIS or ARS) have run from $847 to $930. For delivery orders on contract W52H09-04-D-0086 placed before July 24, 2006, TACOM provided Colt with the BUIS and ARS. Colt was charging over $1,000 per carbine before this change. |
The sheriff is BS'ing you, our department has an FN sales rep who gets his weapons directly from factory, pricing is $1,600.00 a pop and we carry PS90's in our patrol vehicles already. If it's too good to believe, it usually is ![]() Like another poster said, those are leased weapons. |
