Hi all..
Just reading through my NRA magazine and I saw an article on the FNH Scar.....I was just curious to see what you guys think of it. I am an AR15 guy myself but that thing has some pretty cool features. Obviously, if I were looking to get into a firefight with an army, I might be concerned about the inability to swap parts with my AR's and such. But I don't anticipate that happening and I really like the cool look of the Scar. It would be a cool piece to have around and shoot, I think. I guess the worse thing would be hearing someone at the range yell "Hey, look at that SCAR go!" ![]() New |

The SCAR's civi price tag is around $3000 to rich for my blood
There are several reviews in the FN and general firearms discussion one where the OP shot groups out to 500 or 600 yards. Also try FN forums they have an active SCAR forum with lots of info I have read a few reviews most complaints center on the price and are from poor folks like me. I have fired a SCAR at the FNH plant in SC and they are nice very little recoil or muzzle climb in FA and really light for such a large weapon. |

I think they're awesome, BUT I think I would rather go with LWRC's M6A2 low- profile Gas Piston AR. 80% parts commonality with standard ARs, and it can literally be fired for thousands of rounds and you can pull the BCG out and it will be cool to the touch, Easily accurate out to 600 yards, runs 100% cleaner than a standard AR. You could shoot wolf ammo all day with this thing without a hiccup.
Wow, I kinda sound like a spokesperson for them.
I want one. bad. |
| I took mine out for the first time yesterday. In less that 50 rounds I was able to get a 100 yard sight in with the factory irons and an Aimpoint clone and shoot a few mags for familiarization and fun. Like the FS2000, this gun will grow on you, capable of less than MOA accuracy, totally amidextrous, and very user friendly. The stock is great, the rails are great, field stripping is super simple and cleans easily. I paid list for mine and consider it a fair purchase. |

Miine has almost become my favorite gun to shoot. I rarely ever clean mine, and it still runs and shoots great. I would recommend this rifle to anyone. I had roughly 700rds of Wolf through mine before it had it's first stuck case yesterday. I cleaned it but haven't taken it back out yet. |
