My original Egyptian FN 49 in 8mm Mauser. Not refinished. Not a Century parts gun.

Very nice. Mine is a belgian 30-06 model and my camera sucks. I need to refinish it.

ETA Mine is not import marked.

REFINISH????  A little boiled linseed oil on the stock and it'd look like new w/out screwing up it's originality.

That's the best looking Egyptian '49 I've seen.  I had one of the Century rebuilds a few years ago, but it didn't shoot too well.

I have an Argentine '49 now, it's a lot of fun.  Sorry about the width.  I can't resize.

LOL! I took about 200 pictures and these were the only ones I kept.

And they still do not do justice to the rifle. It looks so much better in person.

I have one of those....

When I first took it out to shoot, it fired 2 shots with one trigger pull   I replaced the trigger group, and that took care of the problem.

The bolt won't usually lock back when I fire the last shot. The bolt hold-open parts look a little rounded.

My barrel is pitted. I bought one of those new condition barrels from Sarco. Maybe I will get around to having it installed some time.

3" or so groups at 100 yards, though.

wow I would love to get one of those in 30-06.  They are such great looking weapons.
