| Will any scope mount base and rings that are for a Winchester M70 work for an FN PBR? I am looking at the DNZ Game Reaper one piece mount..I am pretty sure they will work but I want some input before I order them..Thanks |

No. Not quite the same as a M70.
I own one, it came with the shitty two-peice bases they first shippend with. These two-peice bases where way out of spec. Mine sucked! I called Bob a at FNH about what mounts would fit, after trying one made for a M70 (and didn't fit right) . He told me to toss the two peice bases in the trash and he'd send out a brand new NEAR Manf. single base mount (which is what they use now). For FREE. This is about a $150-$200 mount. Perfect mount, once scoped up it prints and hold sub 1/2' moa at 100 yards all day long out of a FN PBR w/16" barrel w/brake. I believe Near sells them too, obviusly since they make them, but a standard Win. M70 mount does not fit right as far as I know and what I remember from the phone call with Bob at FNH. But why buy one when a call to FNH will get you a free one, assuming yours came with the two peice ones. Not quite like the DNZ one your looking for but worth a call anyways. If you order one just make sure you can return it if the M70 version doesn't fit on the PBR. I never tried all mounts, some might work. |
