| Long story short. I have an older model gun where the stock must be removed in order for the trigger group to drop. Anyway, I applied some heat to disassemble the buffer tube and there was some "meltage" (laugh all you want). I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a spare trigger guard? FN has excellent customer service but was no help. Thanks. |

The trigger guard on mine was indeed plastic. It felt a lot harder than it was. FN offered me a new gun, which was great but since I finally got the stock off I was free to add accessories. I just installed an Enidine Buffer and CTR stock. FN also said they did not have any parts available, which sucks for everybody. The guy I talked said they were trying to hook up their own service branch but that was 2 years out. After researching awhile I said screw it and dremeled out the melted spot. It looks alright. Hope that answered your question. |

When I was researching the topic, I read a post where a guy talked to an FN rep. The moral of the story was that the buffer tube on the TPS was milspec. It was nothing concrete by any means. The product description on the Enidine buffer said milspec tube so I bought the mil CTR to go along with it. The stock went on the buffer like a glove. The buffer screwing into the TPS adapter was scary close, but fit. The set-up looks and feels great. I gotta make time this weekend to put her through the paces. |

I really want to hear how it goes. The TPS already kicks less than my Mossberg 590A1. I'd think the Enidine buffer would really help. The cushy pad on the CTR should be nice, but the stock is a bit narrow and I wonder if it would acentuate the felt recoil? Hope you get time to shoot it! |
