Hi...my new CMP S'field Armory 2038xxx came with nice park, but at first range session, would not feed...single shot, 10 rounds in 2 inches at 50 yards, but gun would not strip a round from en bloc clip...I tried these things:
1-Inserted en bloc clip "left handed" and "right handed"
2-Tried three different clips
3-Swapped out trigger groups
Any easy fixes out there?
thanks!

is the rifle short stroking? If you single load and fire a round does the bolt lock back?

If the bolt reliably locks back when fired with multiple single loads there is enough gas to operate the action.  If it subsequently won't drive a new round into the chamber, the usual culprit is a worn operating spring.

Is the ejected brass being flung abnormally far?  I would imagine a weak spring would leave you with very high bolt speed.
When attempting to feed the second round, is the bolt skipping over the top and closing on am empty chamber, or hanging up with a partially fed cartridge?

You can get a replacement spring for about $7.

Orion7 sells M1 spring kits for 25 bills, its a good investment for a shooter M1

also remember when you put a clip into an M-1 it is typical to need to push forward on the bolt handle to chamber the first round- try that- if after hand cycling the first round in it gives issues then it may need a part or spring- they are rather durable in my experience- my current m-1 I picked up from the DCM (before it was the CMP) in the 1980's and it is still on all it's original parts- and I shoot it around 500 rounds a year
