I bought some champion ammo in a bulk box that the background of the box is blue......I have recently found some and the background of the box is black.......are these different ammos, or did they just change the box a bit? I ask because the blue box ammo was a bunch of crap.....I don't want to buy the other stuff to try.....if it's crap too. I know it's only $10, but does anyone know more about the ammo? Thanks |

If it's federal I would leave it alone unless you just plan on using it for plinking. Federal decided to get out of the small bore competitive ammo about 3-4 years ago. They threw various lots together and called it good. Members of the UAF rifle team spent hours going through and peeling lot number stickers off boxes of ammo to see what the "true" lot number was, in one instance a 500 round box divided into 50 rnd boxes had 6 different lots of ammo. Get some Eley or Lapua. SK ammo is also pretty good. |
