I just bought a new Benelli M4 and that was the ammo that I used for the first 25 shots.
I was very happy with it. It cycled flawlessly, the pattern was very consistent, and there was little to no fouling in my gun. The shells were consistent in size and quality and they fit into the mag tube like any other shell. I would buy more if my shop had more (they had one box left for the whole store/range) |

Quoted: I haven't used any of that buckshot, but Federal M193 ammo is labeled "XM193", and it's not reject ammo of any sort. The X prefix is just a labeling prefix to separate military contract ammo from civilian ammo. The two are the same, but just packaged differently. The military gets bland brown cardboard packaging while we get the black and white with all the additional labeling. Some of the XM193 has further designations such as XM193A which further divides how it's packaged, such as if it's loose bulk packed or on stripper clips. |

"Flite Control" refers to the wad (shot cup). See that white plastic thing inside the shell? That's the wad. Below the wad is the propellant. Pull the two out (or carefully cut them out) and compare the two. If you have a Dremel, you can cut the hulls in half from the top down. This will reveal any construction differences between the two hulls. My guess is that the LE uses a higher quality hull similar to their Gold Medal line while the XM hull would be more like the hull from their promo loads.
I'm not a ballistician, so my best description of how the Flite Control wad works is that it's simply magic. Kinda like a fax machine, only louder. |

Quoted: Quoted: Whew........Glad to hear it ran well I just got 700 rounds from Cabelas Local fun shop had it for $11.99 per box of 25. I initially bought 5 boxes (125 rounds). After going through a box at the range and determining that it was good stuff to blast with, train with and store some long term, I bought another 20 boxes (500 rounds). Today, I was driving in the area of the fun shop and something took control of my SUV and guided it into the parking lot. Being the ammo whore that I am, I bought another 5 boxes. Here is the 20 box haul. http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz206/rcdice/IM000099.jpg Nice score. Mind sharing what gunshop? |
