I'm workig on a load for deer season. My data books said 61-66 gr of powder so I loaded 5 cartridges each with 62-66 gr in 1 gr increments.  62 and 66 both did well in my groupings with 3 rounds "in the same hole" and two strays that weren't too far from the hole, what should I do next? Im assuming it will be best to use the 66 gr node for hunting, so basically my question is what charges should I try next to pinpoint the node? (btw I don't have a chrono)

I would load up at least 10 of  each and shoot ten round groups to make sure they are shooting well and I'd pick the faster one for hunting as long as there are no pressure signs.

Your targets with the groups of each load will tell you which is the most accurate.

Something like this. AR, 100 yds, 223, 55 gr soft point. In this pic, 21.3 grs is the best of these 4 loads.

Next time out, I kept working up the load and the max listed load was the most accurate for me.

Once you have a load you think you like, shoot some 10 shot groups and confirm.

Switching to an AK, my 7.62 x 39 load shot better than Wolf Factory ammo.

Good luck
