I am having a little problem with the finger print cards, local SD will only do finger print cards for CCW permits, had no  issues getting the Sheriff to sign the Form 1. after I talked to him.  I think on this forum I read some do their own cards –– is there an issue with this?

Why do they only do CCW? What do School teachers do, and Heatlh care workers etc. They need FD258...dumb.
call around first. I never put ORI stuff on mine and they go through.here we can get the at PD or Shierf.

If they don't do prints at station A, go to station B.  It's really that easy...

Does it matter if the ORI block has other information already printed in it? Also, underneath where the officer signs, should they leave that blank or put their department info there. Just wondering because I see on the back where it says for that block "the contributor is the name of the agency submitting the fingerprint card to the fbi". I didn't know if someone from the ATF filled that out since they are the ones really submitting it, or is the department that printed me submitting it?

THe ORI needs to be the correct one for NFA Branch so they receive the returned prints.  If you have cards with something else on it you can stick a white mailing label on it and then put the correct info in it.
