For the fingerprint cards going to the ATF, do they have to be on ATF specific cards? Or can any municipality just use their card for your prints. Also, if you send more than one application in at a time, do you need to send two copies of your prints for each application? Or can you get away with just two copies of prints, and three applications all together in the same envelope? |

The cards have to be the FBI - FD-258 cards. A lot of PDs have them, and you can get them free from ATF. The ORI listed should be: WVATF0800 ATF - NFA BRANCH MARTINSBURG, WV If you are sending three of the same applications, meaning three Form 1s all filed by you, or three Form 4s - all being purchased form the same person, then yes, you can send only two print cards. If they are coming from different sellers, are not the same type of form, or are being filed some individually and some Trust/Corporate, then you want to treat them all as individual transfers - with all supporting documentation for each transfer. |
You will be getting rejected then. Like danp said they must have the nfa address on them so they get returned to the nfa branch not your local pd. ask me how i know? |
Cool, thanks! That's exactly the information I was looking for. Do I just call the ATF to have some sent to me? Or can I order them somewhere on their website? |
You can get them online from the ATF Form Distribution site here. You want the FBI FD-258LE for NFA stuff. |
