My Chief of Police signed my paperwork this afternoon for my new 22lr suppressor, but the secretary was not there. She was on vacation and I was unable to get my fingerprints taken. I am traveling down to Texas on Monday for business and will be gone for a month. Where else can I get my fingerprints taken? I really need to get the paperwork out before I leave. Any help would be great. Thanks |
Shouldn't be a problem. Give the Lufkin PD or the Angelina County sheriff a call to see when they offer fingerprinting services. |

You are allowed to print yourself if you're able to do a decent job of it (the only requirement is you be "properly equipped to take them") and then you sign as the person that did the printing. I've only heard of cops doing it themselves, but they've usually got a lot of practice and know how to roll the fingers. Kharn |
I agree. I took prints on prospective employees of the bank I worked at, and did them on FBI cards and never had any rejected by the FBI based on the fact that I wasn't an LEO. |
