Just got my second new FS2000,the first one had some small nicks on the right side of the metal upper reciever by the top rail,I sent it back for exchange.Got the replacement today to my disappointment it has small nicks in about the same place.I was wondering if anyone else has anything like this.

It's called a mass produced firearm.  Live with it.

One would think for the amount of coin that the finish on the weapon  would be flawless say like an H&K or a Colt. etc...

My AR15 mutt guns came with a pristine finish and they weren't hand-crafted by Italian artists.

+1

you paid a lot of cash for a disposable firearm. I understand you would like a "flawless" firearm, especially for the price.

"Flawless " would be nice when you spend over "2K " but we know thats not going to happen ..well maybe if its a HK. Don't get me wrong this is a neat weapon and these little nicks have nothing to do with the rest of the rifle which is nice, like this post says I just wanted to know from anyone who actually owns an FS2000  what your finish looks like.

On the right side mine has what looks like a nick touched up with some black paint right below one of the vent slots.

Typically, products made by a military contractor will meet requirements/specifications and have a crude overall finish to cut down on their costs unless their contract specifically requires a certain level of quality in the fit/finish.

Yeah, mine is fine also. No nicks or gouges or whatever.
