My wife said it was ok to get a MG. My budget is not that much.

I can afford a M10, M11, Sten or a MK760.

As a first, which would be good choice. Which is it easier to get mags, parts?

I am leaning towards the MK760.

I have a trust already with a suppressor for .22.

later on I would like to get a suppressor for the MG also

O21

I see the MK760 starting in the upper 4s while the SW76 in the mid 6s.

Are the MK760 as good as the SW? Or are the SW76 worth the extra??

get an M11 .. then get mags, then ammo, then a LAGE MAX-11 upper!

I wished I'd kept my M11 these days ..

Then reading about parts and mags, I was not sure

now I see the MK760 and think that looks nice

i prefer the sten, but i'm in the minority. they tend to run well, they are very easy shooting, mags and parts are cheap and available, and with a can and a bronze bolt they are about as quiet as it gets for suppressed SMG's.

the MAC is like the AR15 of SMG's - there are a million companies making a million different accessories for them.

the MK760's seem to have a lot of problems if you aren't *very* selective about the one you get, and parts can be difficult to find.

I would do the M11 and get the lage kit and be done with it. Maybe get the sten mod done so you can use the cheap sten mags to feed the thing. But the MAX11 is a solid little sub gun. It can hold its own against MP5's and M16/9's if the shooter does their part. And the M11 with the lage should keep you in the same sort of price range as the MK760. Sub $4500.

I looked up the LAGE MAX 11 upper.  that looks nice.

The m11 is cheaper than the M10,  but which is better

with changing  the upper does it matter?

The M10 is a larger, heavier frame, and originally came in 45 and 9x19.

The M11 is smaller and lighter, and originally came in 9x19 and 9x17.

That's about it for the differences.

The best one is the one you have.  For compactness, the M11 wins.  If the M11 wins on price, get that one, as the Lage upper erases any other differences.

M11/9
Get on the list for the 22lr conversion kit for it and the Lage Slow fire upper if can afford to feed it 9mm.

+1, if you plan to actually SHOOT your gun, get an M11/9. There's nothing on it that can't be fixed with a hammer, welder, drill or file. People expect they will get ridden like a $2 whore so a well worn MAC won't suffer a huge depreciation because you shot it a bunch. As far as the LAGE conversion, they really make a MAC worth having. Totally different experience shooting with the Lage upper, and you can use Recon Ordnance mags if you don't want to use stock mags.

M11 has a lot more available in the way of accessories. The M10 is the Fat MAC-it was designed as a .45, but they did make a 9mm for it. The M11 will be a lot smaller and lighter-which is important because these are "Real Steel guns" and are pretty chunky for something so small.

After owning a Max-11 as a first and only subgun, I wouldn't buy a full auto unless I knew there was a .22 kit out there that works.

I like the idea of a .22 conversion. And it seems other than an AR the M11 is the way to go.

I am going after the M11. Then the LUGE MAX and .22 conversion.  Thanks guys for all the info and help.
