Just got my first of 3 nfa stamps in the mail today!  Super excited.

Heres the 300blk upper

And the almost MK18 upper

I've got a Thompson Machine THIRTY silencer about 2 months away from being approved for the 300blk.  The 556 upper has it's own lower that's still waiting on a stamp.  Thinking about a specwar for that one.  I've also got a Thompson Machine Zephyr pending.  I want to build a 4.5" 22lr only upper for that one.

in case anybody's curious, it was 9 months and 28 days mail box to mail box.  Mailed my form 18 Feb.

Nice looking set up.  I've been kicking around the idea of a SBR multi purpose build.

Still having fun with all my other toys atm.

You should do it. You can never have too many toys!

Mine is going to be an 11.5" in 5.56.  I also have an almost complete 5.5" 9mm upper with HK Diopter style sights and using a Spike's mag block, just missing the CMMG bolt.  Eventually when I start reloading and can afford a .30 suppressor I'm going to make a 300 blackout upper and use that as my go to caliber, I'd already registered my form as a 5.56 by the time I learned more about 300 blackout.

I'll post pics of mine in the SBR pic thread when it's done, but my rifle in 5.56 configuration will be:

Spike's lower

Magpul CTR with thick pad

Noveske QD receiver plate

Hogue overmolded grip

Spike's nickel boron battle trigger with JP Enterprises 3.5 lb springs (I need a round hammer for the CMMG 9mm bolt, otherwise I'd have gone Geissele)

Currently it has a RRA star selector, but I'm thinking about switching it to an ambi Battle Arms, Hogue grips have issues with ambi selectors but the BA seems to work with them from what I've read

Spike's Billet trigger guard

Spike's upper

PRI gasbuster charging handle (I've had it for years, finally get to put it in something)

Spike's BCG

Seekins 10" BAR Rail

Magpul AFG

Surefire x300ultra light

Magpul backup irons

Primary Arms T1 Micro clone

AAC Brakeout 51t muzzle device

And still to purchase, a DD CHF 11.5" barrel with a low profile gas system

I'll probably also put a Noveske KX-3 flaming pig on the end of it to preserve my hearing and to not piss off the other guys at the range

And, of course, a ton of PMags

This build has been several years in the making, and I'm excited to be close to the finish point

Sounds like it's going to be a pretty sweet setup! Can't wait to see some pics. Do you have the PA T1 micro clone already? I'm curious how well they work.  I haven't decided if i want to put any optics on mine yet.  I want to keep it simple and lightweight, but a micro redot might fit the bill.

As an aside, for my 245gn subsonic reloads on the 300 I can't use pmags.  The rails on the inside prevent me from loading more than a a few rounds.  I have to use Lancer 7.62x40wt mags for those.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about this build.  Originally I had two of the PA red dots, but only one finished rifle.  They're so inexpensive I wound up trading one plus some PMags to a buddy of mine for a computer.  I've run the other one on my RRA M4gery and it's really bright, and the dot is nice and sharp, and it holds the point of aim between sessions.  I'd definitely recommend one.  I'd love to have a more expensive optic, but at this point I'd rather spend that money on ammo or save up for a suppressor.

March? That seems wrong. Was that shortly after the shutdown when they were telling everyone 15 months?

[#11]
Yeah, it was right around that time I think.  I think I called them in the first week of March, I can't remember when the shutdown was specifically.
