Ok so I've finally decided to try an jump through th NFA paerwork. An thought I'd ask a few questions here.
First thing is about the trust route, anythin' special i need to know here? What's the best way to go about this?
Second I want this can for my ar in 5.56 weight and size ( QD isn't really a concern but would be nice) aren't really a concern on this one just lookin' for the quietest and most accurate can out there.
Any advice? Otherwise Wish me Luck!

Trust - can't help you there as all my NFA is individually owned.   Best to look into the costs of drawing up your own trust (if you are comfortable with that) vs. having a lawyer draw one up and the pro's and con's of each.

Quietest .. well that is a matter of relevance.  Everyone's hearing is damaged to a different degree.  What sounds good to another may be loud to you.  Best to dig in and research all the cans out there or better yet if you can find a dealer in your area that is willing to demo the cans to you that would be even better yet.

Accurate - most cans WILL affect point of impact .. some less than others.  But as long as the POI shift change is repeatable then its really not a concern .. just something to factor in.

Advice - buy the best you can afford as the NFA transfer tax stamp for it to leave your posession makes used can resale almost nil.   And NFA is an addictive hobby,  your wallet or your wife may not like you once you tread down the slippery slope!

Hope this helps.

YMMV

So true.  Starts with a can and threading everything for it.  Once you figure out how easy it is to do a Form 1, your off to the races.

ok, A few more questions.
1: unlimited budget what's your choice for a 5.56 suppressor?
2: If i set up a trust can the kids be on it so i don't have to transfer any future nfa purchases to them when they get older?
3: Best suppressor mounting system?

Sorry, kinda new to this.

1 - AAC M4-2000/Gemtech G5/SureFire somethingorother

2 - I would consult a lawyer on that, or wait until they were 18 before adding them

3 - Depends on who you ask
