Took advantage of some warm weather ( 37 degrees, meh, it's all relative....) and tried out some loads for my .270 yesterday.
3 shots touching @100 yds (1 flier that I knew was a bad shot, so that doesn't count) and 3 shots within 1.5" @ the 200 yd mark.

130 Gr Sierra spitzer over 44Gr of Varget
Rifle....bone stock Savage with a factory mounted Simmons scope.
I was pleased as punch with it.

First reloads for the rifles I have shot after producing several batches of different combinations over the winter. Next out will be the .308 10FP and a slew of load combos....

Very good. Weatherby rifles are guaranteed to produce 1.5" groups out of the box.

1.5" @200 yds?
Yes...it feels great knowing I did my part and my rifle did it's part. Now to stock up on the bullets, brass and powder.
