Can anyone tell me how to tell the date on an Fal with the serial number. I'm trying to figure out if one is pre ban???

Depends on who built it. If it was built by DSA then they can look it up. Others might not be as easy.

You stated "FN FAL" if it is marked as made by Fabrique Nationale Herstal it is definitely pre ban. None were imported after the ban. Photos would help

SO post the first digits, the maker of the receiver, etc.
