[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Folding Charge Handle

I've had my FCH for awhile now and find myself reluctant to install it. I have a mental picture of myself fumbling to get it unfolded in an emergency. When I ordered it I was just thinking about not getting gored while the rifle was on a sling. Any thoughts? No, I'm not selling it!!!!!!

Standard issue on Commonwealth rifles and some paratroop versions (so you don't catch on your webbing or jump gear). Personally I prefer them to the big door knob.

carried one for four years Jungle,Urban, temperate and Desert never had a problem finding the handle when I needed it.

You only have to fall on your rifle once to determine that a folding charging handle is wonderful! I also have yet to not find it when I need it. I can see that it 'might' be an issue with heavy winter gloves. But, I've not had to deal with that problem while carrying a FAL.
