I'm preparing to shorten up my coach gun, and contrary to most attempts to keep the
engraving as discrete as possible, I'd like to use a more period appropriate font.
(I'm keepin' it for life, might as well snaz it up a bit!)

As long as it meets the minimum size/depth, is the text style itself a free choice?

If so, any suggestions for a nice, old timey look?

Not sure on that one.   I'd call the ATF to be sure.

I've yet to see anything against using any particular font, just so long as it's english and readable.

...and I'll be interested in seeing pictures of the end product!  Some day I build up a nice SxS SBS.
