I know that the Form 1 states to specify on the caliber, however I have an Ameetec lower and the lower itself is stamped Caliber: Multi.  Do I still have to specify on the caliber even though the lower is stamped Multi?

Yes (speaking as somebody who is not an expert on this subject.)

I'm one of those guys who got away with putting more than one caliber on a F1.

Yes.  Regardless of whether or not the lower says multi, you are applying to make *A* short barrelled rifle.  Once you attach that first short barrel upper, you have met the requirements of making the SBR.  That first upper you attach is the measurements/caliber you want to list on the form.

Some have gotten through in the past, and some probably will in the future, but do you want to take the chance on having the form sent back to you to correct?
