If i am a state law enforcement officer with fingerprints on file do i still need to send in the fingerprint cards for my form 1. Also my local gun shop told me that it wouldn't take as long to approve due to me being law enforcement, how true is this?

Fingerprint cards are a requirement, and you gain no preferential treatment being a Law enforcement officer.

Same thing would apply for active duty military then too. My fingerprints have been 'on file' for 30 years now, my shit still takes as long as everyone else.
Makes you wonder why they require the cards and all that other shit for subsequent purchases (no 2, 3, 4 etc) if you've already been approved for the
1st one...
