I have Wilson Combat lower I want to e-file on a Form 1 via a trust, but the lower has no model marking at all. It has multi for caliber. I plan on e-filing it as a 5.56 caliber but what about model since Wilson did not mark the lower? Should I just include pictures of the lower with the e-form?
Once approved will I have to engrave caliber and model in addition to the trust name and location? |

I don't know but make sure you get it right... i had one disapproved today for putting the model as 6920M4CARBINE instead of M4CARBINE. If you can't get a definitive answer from someone who has actually filed one, I would definitely contact WC before you hit submit. You will not need to engrave anything other than trust info. |

I'd also attach a picture of the lower showing no model name, and attach a .doc or .pdf with a couple sentences explaining there wasn't a model number so you chose a generic AR-15. As mentioned, the firearm will need to be marked with caliber...which is often handled by the barrel manufacturer. |

You could contact Wilson and ask how the model was recorded by them. They have used AR-15, M-4T, UT-15, and SS-15 in literature, but I don't know if the lowers were marked as such. If there really is no model, you could come up with one yourself, engrave it, and list it accordingly if you want to. Title I firearms can have any info on them changed except the serial number. Once it becomes Title II, it's all stuck as-is. |

It gave an error (eFile) so I included a picture and a few sentences like recommended above. In a coupe days there was no issue. In my case I DID have a model number. In your case, it may not hurt to call Wilson and ask what they reported it as (as Kitbuilder suggested), and then follow through with BigWaylon's suggestion. |
