| I thought I read someone did this but cant find it anymore. Has anyone drilled their tube and threads to tap a set screw to ensure the tube and thread protector stays together for a can that will be under a hand guard? I plan on a 10.5 " barrel with a 12.5" hand guard, so that I can set 2" of an 7.6" suppressor under hand guard. What was the outcome? How much more difficult is it to tap that area? |

Yes, been discussed among the myriad of post in 1 or 2 threads. Red loctite will hold up well enough for a few removals, i use teflon tape. |
