| I called the ATF and they told me that my Form 1 was pending as of 6.5.09. What exactly does that mean? |

ATF statuses:
"Not in the system", after your check is cashed your paperwork sits in a data entry queue until someone gets around to typing it into the database "Pending", it has left data entry and is now at the bottom of the pile on an examiner's desk "Approved", your stamp has been affixed "Mailed", your stamp has been mailed back to you. You're just farther back in a VERY long line of "firearms enthusiasts" who want NFA items at this point in time. It took 92 days total for my Form 1, from late November to the same day of the month in February. Good thing I was too busy to check with the NFA branch on the status-I'd have twitched the whole three months I was waiting.
