I'm skimmed very briefly through the threads looking for any info on current Form 3 submitted and approved dates.
Basically I have a purchase from the beginning of April that supposedly took until the first week in May to submit a Form 3 and likely would have taken longer had I not called to inquire about it. As of last week the ATF still has no record of it in their system and I am trying to figure out if I need to take action on getting my money back or if current Form 3's would actually take as long as stated above to get into the system? Yes I know how back logged everything is but I have no proof of submission on their Form 3 for what I have paid just short of $1000 for. Thanks guys |

Thanks guys The dealer who sold this to you is refusing to show you or give you a copy of the Form 3? Seems like the common trend for ones taking 10+ weeks this year fall back on the original dealer not filing the Form 3 in a speedy manner and then the buyer is just having to take their word for when it was done. |

Yes and no.
I saw a photo of the Form 3 via email when he was originally filling it out. As time goes on the more and more I look back on what has transpired and can't help but feel like I'm being f*cked with. In April I purchased over the phone and mailed check the very next day because "the lady who runs the credit card machine just got let go this week". I also immediately sent him my dealer's necessary information so he could fill out paperwork at his leisure. Then I watched checking account for check to be cashed and it was about 14 days later. Time passes without me hassling anyone until I got in contact again the beginning of May to double check that the Form 3 had been submitted. Guess what nope he was busy and forgot but now I'll get right on it. This is when I see a pic of the form 3 and everything appeared legitimate. Fast forward to the first week of June and I had my dealer call in to check the status at the ATF. At that point it wasn't in the system yet but seemed plausible due to the skyrocketing submissions. We decided to check again after the 4th of July. He called in around the 10th of July and again was told there is no form in their system in his name or the serial number listed in the original picture I received of the Form 3. Fast forward to last Friday I called the place I purchased from to inform them of this and was told he was out of the country for the week and will get on it when he returns. The kicker to this whole thing is that every time I have called with the exception of today when I couldn't reach anyone the person has been extremely friendly and engaging. This along with the fact that the phone number is a legitimate phone number listed on their website has made me feel stupid for having concerns, but in reality if it truly hasn't been filed yet I couldn't imagine anyone being pleased with the service. |

Of all the things you posted, this one bothers me the most. I can almost understand when it's a decent sized shop that "the guy the handles the NFA stuff" isn't in today. But to have a lady "who runs the credit card machine"? Huh?
