I already have five form 1s approved using a lawyer drafted trust

the trust is named "hellbound trust" but at places through out the document is referred to as "the hellbound trust"

the form 1s all say "hellbound trust"

my dealer filled out my form 4's for me and used "the hellbound trust". He told me that is how they do all the paperwork for trusts and I shouldn't be concerned and that they've always been approved.

I'm worried about consistency. Will this be a problem?
I get the impression the dealer doesn't want to fill out the form 4s again.

I don't think white out is acceptable but I don't want to sign these if they aren't valid or will cause me issues in the future especially since I am taking advantage of the gemtax promo

It sounds close enough, just wait it out, if they don't like it they will let you know.

My wife is a will, estate, and trust attorney - I'll ask her tonight for you.

More than likely you'll be fine.

PA Trust law would say that you are fine; the problem arises where trust law intersects the NFA. Because all transfers/makings are registered in the NFRTR, the name becomes very important, especially given the limitations of the search parameters that can be used in searching the NFRTR. If the ATF searches without the "the", only any firearm registered to the "hellbound trust" will show. If the ATF searches "the hellbound trust", only any firearm registered to "the hellbound trust" will show. Get the dealer to fix the forms. You or your Trustees don't want to have the headaches of dealing with this in the future.

could i strikethrough "the" or white it out? or is that frowned upon?

Is there a provision that says the name of the trust is "The Hellbound Trust", if not, you should be fine.

If so, a simple amendment to clarify the trust's name would eliminate all doubt.
