I had a leek, Very decent pocket knife. I used it until it couldn't cut anything. I had a hell of a time trying to sharpen it. so I threw it out and bought a new one.

WTF? You threw it out?  You should have sent it to people who know how to sharpen such things as knives. I would have paid for the postage for you to send it to me.

Check on Ebay as you can find them for $35.00 from a couple vendors. I bought a Red/Black one a while back and was worried about the color scheme but it ia actually a great looking finish.

Can't say which is worse, Ebay or Wal Mart.

Thanks guys, yea actually that blur caught my eye and I handled it as well. The leeks assisted opening actually seems smoother. The Blur doesnt have a blade lock like the leek, I think I would prefer the lock just because it is assiested opening and wouldnt want it opening up in my pocket..

• Handle Length: 4.5"
• Overall Open Length: 7.75"
• Weight: 4.3 oz.

I don't have any experiece with the Leek so I can't comment on that.

I have been EDCing a Blur for about 4 months. I've had no problems with it. It still opens as smoothly as it did when I bought it and it's holding its edge very well.

I know you mentioned the Leek but while you are at Wallyworld check out the Spyderco Native they have for $39.00! Really great everyday carry knife with s30v blade steel. For the price its hard to beat!
YMMV, good hunting!

+1 for th Spyderco. Wicked sharp and strong blade steel. Take care of it and it will last for years.

Also look into the Spyderco Delica 4 and Endura 4. Both truly awesome knives for around $50-60

Yea Ive looked at the spyderco , Blur and the Leek a few times over the past couple days and I think I like the Leek the best for some reason..  The blur feels nice in my hands but still for some reason I am leaning towards the Leek

Get a benchmade griptilian or mini grip. A little more money, but its a much better knife using way better blade steel and a more user friendly as well as stronger locking mechanism.

I have  a leek, its allright, kinda small unless you have little kid hands, but the benchmade blows it away.

I love the leek design, but of what they have available at Wal-Mart, you can't beat the Spyderco Native in S30V. Far better steal than anything else they sell that I know of.

If you are definatly set on the Leek design, personally I'd spend a bit more and find one of the S30V Leeks with G10 handles online.
