LGS had some 303 surplus which I hadnt seen in, well, forever it seems.  I mentioned it in a previous thread a couple weeks back.  I finally got it home today, just thought I'd share a couple pics with everybody.  Total of 1410 rounds, got it for 50 cent a round.  I figured with new Prvi right at 75 cent a round plus shipping at AIM (when its not sold out ), I did ok here.

830 rounds of FN 80 marked ammo in ten round baggies, and got the little crate thingy too .  Pretty decent looking ammo, cases have a few speckles here and there, but nothing that makes me thing it would be unsafe at all.

300 rounds of FN 86 marked ammo in 50 round boxes.  This stuff looks like it was made yesterday.  Also notice what they had it priced at on the shelf

And finally, 180 rounds of Winchester white box, also great looking ammo.  I knew Winchester was making 303 for the Brits back in the day, but I didnt realize they were still making in the 80's

I'm jealous. That looks like and probably is great ammo.
I've got a couple cans of HXP and I'm reluctant to shoot as as I can't really replace it.

damn good score

I haven't seen .303 in forever around these parts, hell I haven't shot my No4 Enfield in years because when I ran out of that Pakistani stuff I couldn't find any more ammo besides commercial

I'd shoot it.  Or hoard it.

Lucky. I only have like 40 rounds of .303 and they all are meant for deer. No plinking ammo in there

Its not that hard to reload. I use bulk pulled Russian fmj  .310 bullets for plinking, decent accuracy.

that paki fodder is junk i pulled it down and reloaded it in graf 303 cases, the white box olin winchester stuff was around in the 80's great stuff I would save that and shoot the fn boxed stuff

midway and graf both sell projectiles and brass for 303, you can use the same projectiles, primers and powder for Jap 7.7

love that greek HXP stuff both in 303 and 30'06

That Winchester .303 is good stuff.  I've got about 600 rounds of it stashed.  No one knows who it was loaded for and why (lots of speculation) but rest assured that it is some of the finest .303 out there, on par with the Greek.

Even if you have Berdan cases, you can still reload them.  The RCBS Berdan de-priming tool works, and TulAmmo Berdan primers are readily available these days...  Waste not, want not.
