I know that this is a honest dealer.

Uhh $2,450 for the rifle.  Wow my PS90 seem much cheaper than that.

Honest dealer or not, that's way too much.  Same crap as the $2400 PS90 dealers were selling when the first ones hit the market, just a different green gun.

Moral of that story, don't buy it until the nutballs are done blowing their $2400 on it.  It'll come down.

Yah, I meant Honest in that Fn was shipping. The price is another thing.

I have been wanting one of those rifles for such a long time. Years. Even before a civie version was a dream. Now it is here, and I am #1 on my fun stores list, so I guess that means I could get it on Friday.

And yet, $2500 is probably a deal stopper. Damn! $2k was bad enough, but somehow I could justify it, $2500 is

After the insant gratification people get theirs for $2500 a pop. The price will level out at what? $1600 retail?  Something like that.
I can wait.

Patience is a virtue. Never pay more than MSRP. Try to pay less.

I paid $2495 for my AUG.  I think I can wait for a FN

Only if dealer price is $1400 or $1500.

How much of it is absurd overpricing by the dealers and how much of it is absurd overpricing by FN?

My dealer call me today and said he was offered one from a wholesaler.
His cost is $1700.00.
Retail it for $2400.00.

Dealer cost is $1700. Hmmmm............

I love my local funshop and will gladly pay $1900-$2000. I hope they treat me fair, I average about $4-500/month there.

I have always thought 10% is fair?

Meh I'll just wait until cdnn gets some. My dealer lets me get whatever I want from cdnn & sog and he only charges me 35 bucks no matter how much the gun was

For $2500 you can build several sub-MOA AR builds. What's the point of a heavy and bulky bullpup carbine that doesn't offer anything that isn't already offered with a cheaper AR?

$1899 for the FS2000 at CDNN

I just saw on GUNSAMERICA that Harris Sporting goods (314) 574-8400 has them for $2500.00
I called him, he has one left.  I preordered mine through Impact Guns back in December for $1749.00.  I called  Impact to verify what the price  might be.  They said $1749.00 was the price that I would be paying.  Their website list them at 21-someting now I think.  I hope that this is true, I will get it at the preorder price and not the mark-up hyp.  But impact said they still haven't received theirs yet.

I kinda agree with him. Why should I buy two more ARs instead of this? How can anybody hate the fact somebody else wants to buy one? A 19" TV does everything a 50" does too, and its smaller and cheaper. So whats the point?

I don't understand why people feel it necessary to demean a product just because it is expensive.
If you don't want to pay the premium for something new and exotic, simply don't pay it, someone else will.

I don't knock Les Baer or Wilson even though I think they are overpriced, they make a good product.

I won't pay $2400 for an FS2000, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't love to have one.

6/6/2006 4:12:18 PM EDT
[#24]
I'd consider buying a FS2000 for about $1500-$1600, the cost of the F2000 to the special folks. $2400-$2500 is $1000 markup. I refuse to give anyone that kind of charity.

The PS90s can be had for about $1400-$1500, just about the same price as the actual P90 so it isn't impossible, it's just a matter of waiting.

While true, but the AR-15s would accomplish the same thing as the FS2000 for a lot less money with more capability. I can afford a FS2000 and I already have a PS90 which many people find to be "ugly and pointless", the same can be said of the 5.7x28 cartridge.

After handling the PS90 for over 5 months, I sincerely feel the PS90 isn't worth nearly as much as the current asking prices. They're relying on the plastic as a shell deflector, and they're relying on a thin strip of cheap cast aluminum to prevent the barrel from flying out. I hope the FS2000 was made of better quality materials, because for $2000 it better damn well be sturdier than an AR-15.

And again, I am all for weird/ugly/unique weapons.

I counted no less than 6 dealers selling FS2000's on Sturm, ranging in price from $2250 to $2500.

I think these will drop in price faster than the PS90 did, PS90's were under $1450 this past gunshow.

I want an FS2000 bad but I'll wait until they drop way below $2K.

I have a gut feeling the dealer price (or wholesale price) is somewhat lower than the prices for the F2000 (machine gun), so we should see prices in the 1600 range later on, just like how the PS90 has dropped into the P90 price range.
