My BIL brought his full auto Colt, up for me to shoot. It has the three round burst, the problem was that after three rounds firing,
it would just stop and I'd have to re chamber and so on and so on. What is wrong with it? I've never handled a auto before and neither has he. Thanks |

I'm just wondering who spends that kind of coin (it is registered right? the cam mechanism isnt resetting itself .. EASY solution is to buy M16 (NOT A2) fire control and replace the FCG with the new parts .. now it will be safe, fire and FULL AUTO .. most people who buy A2's do this so they can shoot more than 3 rds at a time. ETA: my burst mechanism is in my finger .. it tells the gun how many rounds to fire and not the other way around!

It's legal, he bought it and filled out all the paper work, and just never fired it. It has an a2 upper on it but I took it off and put on my Larue stealth upper 16". I was also using my G5 suppressor.
The rifle would shoot a 3 round burst and chamber another round, but it felt as though the trigger didn't reset. If I chambered another round it would fire 3 more and do the same thing. I don't know anything about the trigger in a auto, but it seems as though that's where the problem is. The spent brass was ejecting at 1 o'clock. Ammo was 55 grain ballistic tip and the stock was a ubr. |
