I'm curious how you can legally own a full auto AR? I've heard something about no joy on a weapon manufactured after '86, but I see posters here mention they own a full auto AR & it's not clear if their weapons were made prior to '86. I'm a bit confused now. The only thing I'm sure about is that it's very illegal to possess M16 parts when you have an unregistered full auto AR. Is there anyway to have a full auto AR w/out spending several thousands of dollars & what is the process to legally make/buy one? This is an area of our black rifle family that barely know anything about. Thanks.

The only real way you can own one on the cheap is for a relative to leave you thiers in thier will when they pass on.

In 86 Tommy Gun NIB sold for $500, 20 years later they were 14,000 so if you think a 2800 percent return on your money is expensive they I don't want you investing my money.

Buy machineguns is the cheapest money you can spend.

It's simple do what I did buy a RDIAS and convert your ar to full auto. It is not cheap but it's legal.
