How much are the springfield GI collector M1A's going for? Are these better than the loaded models?

I've never heard the term "GI Collector" used with the Springfield M1A?
Where did you hear that term?

There's an ad in the m1a section saying it's a 94 production for 1400

SAI marketed an M1A named the "Collector edition" or something like that...the rifle had mostly or all USGI parts and a USGI stock. I owned one at one time that was an all H&R. I believe it was marketed in the late 1990's.

Yep that's spot on. I sold one that was made in the 90's a few months back for about $1400.  Mine was mainly HRA too.  When I called SA to find out when it was made, they told me it was sold as a "GI Collector Edition".  Earl

I bought mine new in late '99, it was Feb '99 production. I believe the GI reference was only to the stock, it came with a USGI wood stock including selector cutout and fake Snoopy DAS mark. The only other GI part on it was the TRW bolt. Really not  anything about it that would make it worth more than normal. Marketing at its best.
