I am already looking past the GSG-5 and hoping that they make a .22LR version of the MP7 - who'se with me? Afterall, MP5 clones are already readily available in our market, but no one is making a copy of that mighty little pistol/SMG/PDW that is the MP-7. And if it is in .22LR, there would be no problem in getting ammo for it, unlike the 4.6x30mm round, which is nearly impossible to find in the US market. If anyone else agrees, please +1 to this thread and send an email to GSG at [email protected] , and hopefully we can convince the company to give us a copy of a gun that ISNT available in our market already! |
They are actually getting a copy of the Sturmgevhr (sp?) 44 (STG44) rolling soon. I am definately in on that one. They have also got rights to a .22 AK as well. |
I'm so proud

I recieved a response from GSG, and they said that the barrel length of the MP7 would prohibit them from being able to manufacture it. I think the solution is simple - offer a 16" barrel version with a collapsable stock and a pistol version with a shorter barrel, but a butt plate in place of the stock. That way the short barrels are available if you want to re-reregister the rifle version as an SBR, and the stocks are available if you want to reregister the pistol version as an SBR. And they will probably see a lot of sales to those who wont convert to an SBR, look at the popularity of their 16" barreled GSG-5, not to mention the sales of the PS-90, USC, etc. |
