How does the factory GSG collapsable stock stack up against the airsoft CA 173 M.   I can't find anyone that has a CA 173 in stock.

There is a  HK ( clone ) POF collapsable but they want $200.00,    is it worth the extra ?

Thanks,.

I just received my CA stock from nextgenerationairsoft.com. It seems solid, very little wobble, the sling ring fits, and it slides securely on. I would email Karen to be sure they have them. I paid about $75 including shipping, but I had to wait as a shipment sold out the day I ordered it.

The big difference I see is that the butstock of the CA has a small ring molded along the bottom edge. I don't know if I would trust that as a sling attach point because of the weight of the gun and the fact that I don't think you would want to torque the extended rails. I stick with the sling loop on the end cap.

Karen at NextGen airsoft?  I ordered a CA stock from her 9 days ago after she assured me they were in stock and ready to ship.  I sent an email last Friday (6 days after placing the order) asking if she had an ETA on when it would ship and have yet to receive a response.

How long did it take you to get yours?

It was about three weeks to a month...I THINK, because I had 3-4 things coming from EBay, HK, etc, so I can't tell you in days. I had ordered it all around New Years' and the stock was the last thing to show up right after the Super Bowl.

She did answer my emails though and changed shipping to Priority for free cause she was late.  In that regard I think she handled it right.

That's why I said to contact her first before ordering.

Personally if I was to do it again I would probably get it from ATI/Gunzstuff, but I really wanted the CA version from what I read on here, over the OEM version from GSG/ATI/Gunzstuff. The later is definitely quicker.

I really think we are self inflicted victims in a way as these suppliers just never expected the demand for all the GSG capable parts. Man do I wish I could start up some drop-in GSG parts supply. Just look at the hits on the Accessory thread...50,000+   It would be nice to make $10 from half that number.....

I did check first.  I emailed and asked if they were in stock and was told yes.  That's the only reason I ordered from there.  Just saying.
