Anyone have a Garand safe load using IMR 3031 and 150 gr. SMKs?

For .30-06 start with 46.0gr and work up. I would not go above 48.0gr.

I prefer H-4895.

42 grains with a 168 grain polymer tip bullet is what I load for generic 3006 shooting.  It is accurate in every rifle I've tried it in, cycles a Garand, and is fairly quiet.

I agree with H4895.... and if you are a progressive loader check into H4831sc (short cut)... it will meter better

No. Because I could never think of a reason to use anything faster than H4895.

I've always felt that those NRA loads were on the hot side, if not max.
