Any one have any info on a cause / fix for said problem ?
Considering a purchase off another forum , seller says; " I have is a CMP special grade, which is basically a parts gun with a new walnut stock and barrel. Mine unfortunately can't seem to make it through a clip without leave spent brass in the chamber and shoving a live round into the back of it. I suspect the extractor is out of spec, I was thinking of sending it out to have it looked at." |

I would use that problem as a reason to buy it cheap. Either a dirty or corroded chamber or a bad extractor.
I would polish the chamber first. If it is pitted you would probably need a new barrel, depending on the extent of the pitts. Extractor and spring is an easy replacement. It might be just the spring also. |

Thanks for the help. Sounds like it wouldn't be a huge deal to remedy then , unless it needs a re-barrel. the special grades are a numbers matching gun refinished and with a new Criterion barrel and stock. I would have expected the CMP to make it right but if it really is a special grade i would pick it up cheap and fix the extractor issue. Eta: I'm a retard but they are good shooting guns |

It is fine now. I only bought it because it was a 86k sn. I had passed on a 49k sn a year before. I should have bought more service grade specials. |
