For whatever reason, I think my elevation adjustments are broken. I adjusted up 10 clicks from my 200 yard zero, and put a round in the berm. I then adjusted another 10 clicks. then another, and another, etc. I gave up at around 60 clicks up. This sight just isn't moving. I can't get it to bottom out either.

What went wrong, and how do I fix it?

Sounds like the rear sight spring cover has lost its "springiness".
You may have allowed the rear sight apature "teeth" to become disengaged from the elevation knob. Gonna have to take it apart......

If it isn't within spec, it does not hold the rear sight apature at the desired setting. I would try this part first:

G51    Rear sight spring cover   9.50

Look here for how to take the rear sight down:

Confirm the spring cover is bad by:
Ensure the elevation screw is snug. Ensure the windage knob screw is snug enough to offer resistance to the knob turning.
Run the rear sight apature almost all the way up (max elevation). It should be sticking out way above the receiver.
Press downward on the rear sight apature,,,,it should not easily move,, the spring cover should hold it up.

The cover can be adjusted by peening the thing, but its far easier to buy a replacement part.

Upon further examination, the screw that holds the elevation knob in place was loose. As soon as I tightened it by hand, the sight works again.

Glad you figured it out!  Now bottom the sight, come up 8 clicks and go try and get a 100 yard zero.  After you get zeroed at 100, loosen that screw again and set the knob for the 100 yard zero.
