My rear sight on my M1 Garand seems a bit off. With the windage at center, it shoots left by about +/- 3MOA @ 100yds. I compensated by adjusting the windage to the right. It currently is between the first and second mark on the right of center. Is there anyway to adjust this so the windage is closer to center? I guess it's not a huge deal, but just wondering if anyone else has to have their windage off one way or the other? This is the only rifle I have with iron sights, so if this is normal let me know.

1) Find allen wrench that fits the screw in the front sight.
2) move rear sight to the center of the scale. 3) shoot at a target. 4) move front sight the SAME way your bullet hits...ie if it shoots to the right, move the front to the right etc.. 5) tighten the front and shoot again and see what you need to do then. |
