I'm getting my M4-2K soon and I'll be needing something to keep the gas out of my face ( I guess)

Gas Busters go for almost $100.00, damn!

Is there a more cost effective solution to gas-in-face?

Duct Tape around the gap? Anything?

I'm sure another $100 isn' going to kill me since I'm out over 1K on this already but I'd rather buy something else if it is not needed.

thanks fellers!

Even the "Gas Buster" is lacking under FA conditions.

I agree, I have tried the Gas Buster and it only helps a little bit on FA.  Somebody around here, perhaps Battlecloth, makes some blocking deal that fits over the latch, that might help.

To each his own but I prefer to use an adjustable gas block to limit the amount of gas getting back in the receiver in the first place.  With my Gemtech Predator mounted, I have the gas almost completely locked off and it cycles 100%.  I have no gas blowback.  In fact it's just like shooting non-suppressed.
The only issue is that you have to remember how many revolutions to turn the gas regulation screw when going back and forth from suppressed to non-suppressed.
I think its worth it though since you are reducing how dirty the gun gets from less carbon getting thrown back in the receiver.

Does anyone make a click adjustable gas block?  It seems like there would be a market for something like that.

Kurts Kustom Firearms did do one that was click adjustable years ago.  I don't know whatever happenned w/ that.
I'm thinking about doing one like that myself just haven't gotten around to it.

The gas buster was worth the 90 bucks when using a suppressor. that being said when I blow off mags I still have to wrap a frickin towle around it or I'm choking haha.

If it was around 50 bucks I'd put it on each rifle but not for 90. I think the battle cloth is a good idea for range use and I should buy one also.
