I currently was issued a 3M 6000 Series Full Face Mask.

Problem is my PD didn't issue me any filters. Yeah big mistake. But the reason is that we got these through the Fire Department. It was basically.... if you want a free mask.... here you go.

What filters do I need to have a mask that will work with CS/MACE/OC Chemical Agents? Also do they make all around filters that could be used for H1N1/SARS, Chemical or Bio Attacks, or other nasty stuff?

I know that these masks run about $150 a pop filters are usually $20 a pop. But what is the good all around filter for my needs.

I want to have them on the mask ready to go if I need to don it because of a number of issues. Chemical Agents (Riots), Chemical/Biological Attack, and Medical Issues.

you should be able to find filters online at the big places, search on MSA (mine safty administration), I'm pretty sure it uses a standard 40mm canister.

Any filter will stop SARS/N1H1, even training / riot agent filters will do that.

Make sure the filters are SEALED airtight, they have a shelf life once open of 1-2, sometime 3 months depending on enviroment.
Once open the charcole will start absorbing humidity and 30-60 days is max, maybe 90 is super dry climate.
Perferable get filters sealed in some sort of vacumn packed foil bag, these will have a shelf life of 10 years or more if stored correctly.

IM sent.

also, i would research what that mask is rated for... certain materials will break down in different exposures, so make sure you're not going to have faith in something that could kill you.

The mask I have uses a Bayonet type mount. Not the 40mm Screw on. Actually let me rephrase that. The sides take the bayonet mount, the front is the 40mm if I am correct.
