A lot of people don't like thread on cans, but I have no problems with mine.  Its light, short and I don't have to wear earplugs anymore.

I have had one for a couple years that I use with a 11.5" upper. As you probably already know, a 11.5 upper is pretty loud. If I shoot mine unsuppressed, I tend to get nasty looks from the fuds at the range. I decided that I did not need fast attach and didn't want to spend a lot of money on the newest and best. To me, the sonic crack is uncomfortable to my ears regardless of what suppressor you have. I already have some hearing loss so I am very protective of what I have left. Because of that, I wear hearing protection all the time unless there is no one else at the range and I am shooting subsonic 22lr.

I do like my M4-02. It may not have the sound reduction of some of the top tier 223 suppressors but it does a pretty good job. Not having quick attach is not a problem for me. I put some high temp anti seize grease on the threads and screw it on. When I am done shooting, I take it off. No problem. I have never had it even start to loosen during shooting but I do not shoot full auto through it.

How about a range report after you try it out?

I believe they are a well built can but to my ears are no where near hearing safe on 16" and less barrels.

ok so keep my ears on,  and yea i guess i could write up a range report after i shoot it. i have other gemtech, aac cans in 223 but this would be my first thread mount can, but im sure ill like it.. so im guessing it should be ok without some type of "thread lock" i wont be running full auto, but i plan on gorilla gripping the shit out of it to make sure its on good. and ill be checking it often..

I like compact thread-on cans for SBRs.

Yup.

Some are claiming good results with Nord Lock washers too.

hey does anybody know what size nord locks or any other washer for that matter are?

My memory is that Gemtech does not recommend using Nord-Lock due to alignment concerns.  I think it's best to go with the manufacturer's recommendations when it comes to these sorts of issues, because they're the ones you'd be going to should your suppressor be damaged.  Gemtech is easy to reach via email and phone.

Run mine on a 10.5, works great.

I think good threads cut to the same specs are the easiest way to keep a thread on can from unscrewing. If that's not an option, there's always Rocksett.
