I want to join the suppressed community and am looking for a good unit, for my 11.5" Commando clone. My local class III dealer has a Gemtech Trek that he offered it to me for $750. On Gemtech's site, this can is priced at $550. Something doesn't seem right, does it? Do I need to find a new dealer?
Anyway, how many of you are using a Trek? I'm looking for a short & fat suppressor that won't break the wallet. Really like the Mini Surefire but not at that price.
Anyone running the Innovative Arms Grunt Mini? I really like the looks of those.

I have been waiting for a Gemtech Trek review as well.  They cashed my tax stamp check on May 4th so I have a super long wait.  My dealer has a range so I will be able to try the Trek before my stamp comes back then I can give a review.  The $750 could be the Trek-T which is titanium.  I went to two dealers; one an hour away was $525 and a dealer 10 minutes away was $495 both before the tax stamp.

It's not a Trek-T unless the dealer is selling it at a loss.

OP, is the dealer including the tax stamp in his price quote? If not, go somewhere else. $200 over MSRP is too much.

I'm looking a a trek also.  I think I will just keep it on a 20" HBAR with a scope for precision shooting. I wo9uld also like to hear from someone who has one.

I'll have to look again to see if it is a Trek-T. He did say normal price for it was $800 but because he shot a couple of mags through it,he would sell it for $750.
No,the tax stamp wasn't included in the price. Yeah,$200 over MSRP  is nuts.

Texas Knifeworks & Guns in Wichita Falls. They have quite a few suppressors in stock. Looking at Gemtech's dealer map,it doesn't look like they are a dealer, though.

I have had my GEMTECH  Trek for about a year now. The wait was long. Mounted on a Bushmaster. Great quality and seems to give a ok balance to the rifle.  Sound suppression the amazing. Price I paid $500 + Tax.  Well worth the money. Have now about two thousand rounds through it. After the first hundred paint seemd to cook off "smell"  some no big issue.  Looking at the other options the Trak is the better design. Even the look and feel  of the unit is top notch.
Ammo used 556 and .223. Note: led tipped rounds are Not recommended  because of  tip separation. However; we have put 200 rds through with no issue.
Did mount on a Sig Mosqeto .22 (worked well)
