My *only* local class III dealer only stocks the gemtech trinity in 9mm ($510 + stamp, transfer). I'm going to shoot 147gn subsonic reloads out of a 16" 9mm carbine and eventually a 9mm handgun not presently owned - is there a "better" setup (trident, evo, etc) that would be worth ordering and potentially waiting longer on, or are they going to basically be about the same to my non-discerning ears? My purpose is simply to muffle the flash/bang enough to not project my shooting habits to my neighbors, and to avoid hearing protection if possible. I've seen other comparisons here but nothing with the Trinity system - any recommendations or advice from forum members here? |

Someone should do a poll: which is the quietest "in your opinion" and then which is the loudest "in your opinion." I figure that would help seperate the wheat from the chaff for us noobs. If you were closer, I'd go through you BB - I've ordered parts from you in the past and have had nothing but positive experiences (I'm in east Cincinnati). |

Spend the extra $185 and get the SWR Trident. I have one in transfer at the moment. It will serve you quite well on a 9mm carbine or pistol. The one that I heard was very quiet on a 9mm SBR and worked very well on a pistol as well. The EVO 9 will serve you equally as well, but will cost you more. USNCORPSMAN |
