I had a really stupid question about attaching the sheath but I figured it out.  Instead, let me just say that this is one fine blade.  Please feel free to share your comments about this blade.

Oh heck, I'll just throw in my initial review.  I don't have anything of this caliber to compare, but as far as I can tell, this thing is built to take a beating.  The grip is super confortable and has an indentation designed to be used to attach to a stick and used as a spear.  The sheath has a built in sharpening stone.  The butt can be used as a hammer.  I'm looking forward to using this knife for anything and everything I can on my upcoming camping trip.

Sorry for this crappy review.  I just didn't want to waste a thread due to my original stupid question that I deleted.

I bought one but had to return it(high cc bill at the time)  Anyways it seemed like a real nice blade and it definately was beefy.  Not as cool as some of the uber $$ knives but for a run of the mill buy anywhere blade its pretty damn nice.  there was a link awhile ago that had then for like $65.

I have been going back and forth on this knife for a while.  I am just not a big fan of the combo blades.  But, I finally broke down and bought one from LAPolicegear.  I am very pleased with the knife.  There are enough doo-dads on the sheath to keep me distracted from the serrations.

I noticed there are 2 models listed at the seller I looked at, the infantry and the survival. Would anyone know the difference? They also list a LMF II and a LMF II ASEK.

ASEK denotes that it comes with the "Aircrew Sruvival & Egress Knife" - aka the ASEK knife / tool - as well as a sheath to acommodate the knife and tool

The infantry model doesn't come with the ASEK tool and has a lighter sheath.

I BELIEVE the survival model simply comes in black with the same sheath as the ASEK model.

Otherwise, the different LMF II model knives are all the same in  form and function, but different in accessories and colors.

I went with the LMF II ASEK in coyote tan and couldn't be happier.

I just got one for $89 at Sportsmans Warehouse, I overpaid, but I think it's still worth $90 after spending some time with it.
