I am looking into buying the Gerber Paraframe or Mini Paraframe, but want to be sure that I know what I'm getting. I know its really cheap, and probably made in China. I have my good knife, and I'm looking for this one just as a beater knife, and since I have a gift card for cabelas. Has anyone out there used this? If so, is it decent for the super low price? And, should I ge the Paraframe, or the Mini Paraframe? www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0039824517428a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=gerber+knife&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=gerber+knife&noImage=0 ronburg |
| As far as a cheaper knife option I picked up a Smith and Wesson Extreme ops from my local Big 5 for $12 and it has been an O.K. knife for the price and holds an edge just fine. All the other S&W folders I have had were not that great at all. I have looked at one of those Gerbers and like my Extreme Ops (CHEESY NAME) a lot better. Kbar has a cheaper line also. The best deal would be to go up to about $30 and get a Kershaw Storm 2 from Walmart. |
| My buddy at work uses one of those. It didn't feel like a trustworthy knife at all.For an EDC,I use a Gerber Crusader.Pretty tough little knife and won't break the bank. And it's a hell of a lot stronger than the paraframe.Crusader |
