I have a question about a scope - a Swarovski 6x42 with the standard German military recticle.  It is marked 'ZFM' does anybody know what that means?

I've noticed alot of these type scopes made by German or Austrian scope markers (Kahles, Schmitt & Bender, etc.) marked 'ZFM'  -just curious as to what it stood for....

Someone told me it was German for 'Telescopic Sight Military' Who knows?

Thanks

Zielfernrohr is the ZF part. Means "telescopic sight" auf Deutsch.
