I'm getting ready to submit a Form 1 for a SBR, and I'm getting conflicting information from the local class 3 dealer, who is also the attorney that wrote my trust. In the thread here titled "Complete guide of how to fill out Form 1" in regards to the Declaration of Trust it says " Be sure to send a “Certified True Copy” of the trust, which is a notarized COPY", but the lawyer is telling me all I need to do is send a photocopy. Now I only asked his advice because I bought my suppressor from him and he wrote my trust, I'm not having a SBR transferred to me, I'm building it on a stripped lower I have.
Anyway, who is right? When I submitted the paperwork for my suppressor two years ago the trust documents I sent were just a photocopy, it wasn't "certified". But then again my stamp was delayed an additional month because I didn't submit a Schedule A with my forms because he told me I didn't need to. Also, do I need to go to him every time I add something to my trust or can I just add it to the Schedule A myself? And do I need to put "Grantor" after my name on the forms? My trust says "Settlor"

Yeah, I was planning on sending the documents myself. So in the future when I want to do another SBR I can just amend my Schedule A myself? BTW, are you in Memphis? I assumed "gotigers" was a Reference to the U of M. |
